Dzisiaj w środkowej części Izraela rozbił się bezpilotowy samolot Eitan (Heron-TP), najbardziej nowoczesna maszyna tego typu będąca na wyposażeniu sił powietrznych tego kraju - podaje lenta.ru.
Samolot bezpilotowy wystartował z bazy sił powietrznych Izraela w Tel-Nof. Wykonywał lot treningowy. Według świadków, maszyna z dużą prędkością uderzyła w ziemię i wybuchła.

Eitan jest ulepszoną wersją samolotu bezpilotowego Heron. Jego rozpiętość skrzydeł wynosi 26 metrów, a maksymalny czas lotu - 45 godzin. To najbardziej nowoczesna maszyna tego typu będąca na wyposażeniu sił powietrznych Izraela.
